Equipment  Demonstration

MS Mondays, 

12-00 till 4-00pm
    (For people with Multiple Sclerosis and their carers)

2011 got off to a good start in January when we used our newly acquired weighing scale for the first time. For some people, (especially those confined to wheelchairs) this was the first time they had received a record of their weight for years.

Most people were eager to see how much they had put on over the festive season, but more importantly, to check their body mass index. (BMI)  We will be using the scales on a monthly basis for anyone interested.

MS Mondays is now into its 4th year and is continuing to be of benefit to all who attend.

The main emphasis has always been on exercise and the pieces of equipment we have enable even the most physically challenged to get some benefit.

The activities are a bonus and I hope, help to make the day an enjoyable experience. Along with the handicrafts and feel good sessions our latest addition has been the introduction of a wheelchair  weighing scale and hopefully it will be used monthly to record weight and BMI.  

Thank you again for supporting me in what I feel is a weekly tonic in the management of MS and don't forget if you have not joined us yet it only takes one visit to be part of our group.

We never seem to run out of ideas to keep us busy on Monday afternoons.
